Dear ATB: 1/17, Bill Blake
The residents of Amherst have resoundingly made their feelings known regarding the unnecessary and discretionary spending by the Town Board. We are moving into very uncertain economic times that will continue to cause inflation in addition to conditions that will impact people's employment. Due to uncontrolled spending that drives up taxes people will no longer afford to live in NYS and Amherst. The Board should be in a mode of conserving and reducing spending. We have 32 public parks in Amherst and do not need a 33rd. The project at the former Westwood Country Club is unaffordable at this time and should be put on hold and re-evaluated.
