World Class Theater… Already Exists in Amherst

Questions for Kulpa regarding the $10 million MusicalFare theater construction at Westwood.

Why do taxpayers need to foot the bill to construct a new 30,000sq/ft on historic greenspace at Westwood for MusicalFare to lease out when this Canterbury Woods Performing world class theater was just built & is available to the public?

Oh, & the Amherst Symphony Orchestra already played there... so why do we need to spend more money on an outdoor amphitheater for them too? Bassett park exists remember.

Oh, & its less than 4 miles away the Westwood & its right near Bassett park too! Right in the center of the town.

Cut the spending on this unnecessary theater Brian Kulpa! Its our money... not MusicalFare's.

The Westwood project is unnecessary, brings nothing new, consolidates feature of the large town into one area instead of spreading out the amenities for all districts, and is absurdly expensive for just the first phase and initial costs.
